Happy New Year!

This increase in the life span and in the number of our senior citizens presents this Nation with increased opportunities: the opportunity to draw upon their skill and sagacity and the opportunity to provide the respect and recognition they have earned. It is not enough for a great nation merely to have added new years to life our objective must also be to add new life to those years.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
2013

I took a little time off to think about what I need to do with the blog, my quilting and my life.  This is the time of year for a retrospective look at things and a time to form a vision for the days ahead.  I have a few ideas I'll be sharing in the days to come.  This week hopefully life will resume a more normal pace.

I even got to my sewing machine to do a little binding work in the last few days. Yeah!

2013 - It always takes a while to  get used to saying/writing the new year's number.  13 is such an odd number.  It makes some uncomfortable.   One of my daughters was born on the 13th so she thinks it is a great number. ;-)

I'm looking forward to a new grandbaby this year and some more traveling.  Let's make it the best year yet! Why not?  I don't want to make it a bad one for sure!

What are your plans for the year?

  1. I love the fresh start that a new year brings! My quilting goals are set but I need a bit of quiet time to contemplate the rest of my goals. The last family gathering was today and life will get back to "normal" starting tomorrow.

  3. Getting a new grandbaby is the best gift of all for the New Year! I hope there will be lots of good "normal" things happening in 2013. :O)
